A certificate of completion in the MATRIX training program will be provided upon completion of the following:
1 – Having completed the MATRIX basecamp course.
*This may be either with or without formal University credit (i.e. auditing is acceptable).
2 – Having attended a minimum of two advanced scientific training workshops during their studies.
3 – Participation in at least 10 mitoMATRIX/troubleshooting seminar series per year of MATRIX funding.
4 – Participation in Professionalism Training: including the maintenance of a yearly career development plan; and the participation in mandatory professionalism training events.
5 – General participation in other MATRIX events when possible, including industry lunch and learns and invited academic seminars.
Finally, while international academic and industrial internships are not a requirement for certification, trainees are highly encouraged to apply to these excellent opportunities.
Note: PDFs can also obtain a MATRIX training program certificate but are not required to attend the MATRIX Basecamp. In lieu of the MATRIX basecamp, PDFs are invited to assist in the delivery of course material.
